The Overthinking Preview: GW37
In which we look at the games we didn't talk about already in the Roundup
Hello.
It’s Gameweek 37 and it’s a massive Double Gameweek. We talked a bit about the sides who are due a double in the Subscriber section of the Roundup this week. And so it made sense to swing back to talk about the rest of the teams here. We’re going for the Preview format, so that we can cover them all. Where they’re facing a Double Gameweek side, we’re not going to re-discuss the teams on a Double. You can find our thoughts on those here.
Here we go…
Fulham - (Manchester City)
Key Storylines: Fulham boast a truly appalling record against Manchester City. It’s been 19 Games since they won in this Head to Head across all competitions and the last time they even got a draw was in 2011. With City needing the win to push for another league title, what can Fulham do to keep it from hitting 20?
Streamer Potential: For the most part, this isn’t going to be a good spot to go streamer hunting. We’ve seen some nice Gameweeks from Fulham players who typically have high availability, especially in good matchups. Even CBs like Tosin Adarabioyo or Calvin Bassey have had good weeks. Here you can’t start any of them. Even in their best Games, City have been vulnerable enough to consolation Goals that you could maybe talk us into a Rodrigo Muniz and we’ve seen Alex Iwobi put up good numbers in bad games too. But you’re not finding either on Waivers. In a choice between a player in this game or a different matchup (especially a Double), we’d pick the other matchup most of the time.
Top 3 Projected Expected Points (expected starters, single GW teams only): Rodrigo Muniz (10.15), Willian (9.04), Alex Iwobi (8.41)
Bournemouth - Brentford
