The Overthinking Preview: GW32
In which a we try to cover a full slate of games in one post again.
Hello. It’s Gameweek 32. You might’ve noticed that GW31 literally just happened and we’re publishing again already. Games are going to come thick and fast between now and the end of the season, so we’ll have a mix of our usual formats to get as much out to you as we reasonably can through this period.
The first of them is a Gameweek Preview for Week 32.
Crystal Palace - Manchester City
Key Storylines: We’ll set aside asking whether Erling Haaland will return to the side (we assume he will) and instead ask who gets the nod in attacking midfield with Julian Alvarez, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku all available? And for Palace the Oliver Glasner experience has been… well… dull. They’re not getting shots, they’re not winning games and they’ve not yet kept a Clean Sheet other than against ten-man Burnley. So what’s the point of the dullness?
Streamer Potential: It’s nice when these things are simple. You’re not getting any streamers in this game. But what we can be glad of is that City play early, so we will get the outcome of Pep’s selection decisions with a whole slate of games left to play. So by the time the team-sheet is out here, you’ll at least know how many streamers you might need to find to cover whichever of City’s litany of attacking stars didn’t get the nod this time out.
Top 3 Projected Expected Points (expected starters):
