Why Mason's switch to the red side of Manchester should give fantasy managers hope
After much speculation, Mason is a red. Gordon is (for once) at a loss for words as he processes his emotions. So, as the resident United fan of the team, the honor of writing about our new signing falls to me. But if I’m being honest, the real impetus for this article comes from the Community conversation surrounding Mason and his potential. There has been a lot of criticism and doubt levied Mason’s way over the past few weeks, and I am here to share a more positive and optimistic view of his prospects in Manchester.
Last season, Mason’s lagging starts led to disappointing returns, and Mason caught a lot of flack. But rest assured, Mason is very, very good. There is a reason that basically every manager Mason has played for has rated him. And while some people online like to think they are better managers than the Ten Hags of the world, I’m a little skeptical, and you should maybe take their opinions with a grain of salt. Rest assured that a (slightly) more diligent United saw something positive in Mason’s profile that attracted their interest.
